Foreign Mission Outreach
Good News partners with Twelve Churches, a mission organization founded ten years ago out of Killearn United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, Florida that serves communities in Leon, Nicaragua.
We send two mission teams a year, one in late July and one in late December, to serve with Twelve Churches in a variety of ways. Teams usually partner with a local Nicaraguan church to complete a construction project, hold Vacation Bible School, go on prayer walks through the community, visit feeding centers, and fellowship with adults and children in the community in different ways according to the needs of the church.
If you are interested in donating to Twelve Churches or being a part of a mission team, please contact team leaders Jason and Kristi Beer. Kristi_beer@hotmail.com.
Mission Statement of Twelve Churches: We believe the power of Jesus Christ brings lasting change. We partner with local churches to empower and uplift their congregations and communities. Our hope is to equip and encourage pastors and lay leaders to grow in confidence and spiritual maturity, that they may, with the power of Jesus Christ, carry out God's mission in their communities.
